The 2008 Apple Festival, September 10-14, was a big success. Kiwanis members enjoyed serving the community and visiting with their friends during the 5 days of festivities. Key Club, Builders Club and Circle K members helped in the Apple Time General Store.

On June 16, the Rent One Stadium, home of the Southern Illinois Miners, proudly welcomed 200 Kiwanis and Key Club members from clubs throughout Southern Illinois-Anna, Carbondale-Noon Club, Carbondale-Early Birds, Harrisburg, Marion, Metropolis, Mount Vernon, and Murphysboro.
